Recruiting is more than just a livelihood, it’s our calling.
Our Mission
To connect exceptional talent with purpose-driven organizations.
With empathy and experience, we uncover rare candidates who fit more than just the role, but the culture. As your long-term hiring partner, we deliver honest communication, strategic insight, and real results.
At reKruit, our mission is to uncover the rare “purple squirrels” by delivering exceptional, customized recruiting solutions that go far beyond job descriptions. We are committed to being a trusted, long-term hiring partner to small and midsize organizations, combining deep industry experience, resourcefulness, and empathy to match the right leaders and professionals with the right roles. We actively listen, act transparently, and communicate relentlessly — always working with grit and humility to find not just any candidate, but the right candidate who aligns with your mission, values, and culture. Our goal isn’t to fill roles; it’s to fuel organizational success by connecting people and purpose.
Meet The Founder
Hi, I’m Kerry Weber — the “K” in reKruit.
I’m a mom, a dog mom, a daughter, sister, aunt, and niece. My family is the center of my universe. But my career has also been a driving force in my life — one that has empowered me to support and raise my children.
I’m the owner and principal recruiting consultant at reKruit. We specialize in helping small and mid-sized organizations with their direct-hire IT and professional recruiting needs. We take the time to understand each company’s mission, values, culture, and challenges, along with the people behind the job descriptions. That way, we can act as a true ambassador for your organization and find talent that’s the right long-term fit.
Our goal is to be your go-to staffing partner for IT, HR, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations roles.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, I’ve held roles in business development, account management, team leadership, and hands-on recruiting. I have a particular passion for leadership searches, IT security, data & analytics, and project/product management, and yes, I love the thrill of finding those elusive “purple squirrels”.
Like many recruiters, I didn’t plan to enter this field, I fell into it. Before recruiting, I worked in marketing, HR, and counseling. I’m incredibly grateful to have found a career that aligns with my skills, my personality, and my passion for helping both people and companies succeed. It’s challenging, but incredibly rewarding.
I started my IT journey in 1999, pre-Y2K, back when I thought Java was just coffee. Since then, I’ve received foundational training from global organizations, learned a lot through trial and error, and discovered a real love for the fast-paced world of recruiting.
I’ve worked on internal recruiting teams at both large corporations and small, consulting firms, fast-paced startups, as well as in both boutique and large staffing agencies. Every experience has shaped my approach. I’ve learned to listen deeply, build trust, navigate challenges, and deliver thoughtful solutions.
At reKruit, we are not transactional. We don’t just put butts in seats. We build lasting relationships, with both clients and candidates, and provide a highly personal, high-touch experience on both sides.
We combine best practices, smart tools, and decades of experience to deliver exceptional service. And because we’re small and nimble, we’re able to save our clients time and money — without sacrificing quality.
What’s With the Purple Squirrel?
In recruitment and job searching, a “purple squirrel” refers to an exceptionally rare and highly desirable candidate who perfectly matches all the requirements of a specific job opening. This term, often used metaphorically, signifies the difficulty of finding someone who ticks every box on a hiring manager’s wish list. While not impossible, finding a purple squirrel can be a challenging and time-consuming process for employers.
